I read his other longer book years ago and found it overwhelming. This is the perfect length and easy to understand. It is a more concise summary of the larger book, I would recommend this for people over the larger book.I would look at the appendix for his top 10 favorite supplements. If you tried every supplement in the book you would be spending around $500 a month or so. So the top 10 is useful. The proboost though is ridiculously expensive. Instead I am using a mushroom based immune booster. And instead of the form of ribose he recommends I am using a form of bioenergy ribose sold on amazon(Dr's Best, or Swanson's uses this form). It is made in the US but more reasonably priced. Seems to work great just stay clear of the cheap Chinese garbage. If you are in a tight budget a good multiple, good B complex, d-ribose and a sleep supplement are likely the most important if you can't afford everything he recommends.

During now 9 years I have been fighting the problem with constant pain in my right hand, or more correctly the brain is telling me that I there this pain. That’s how it has been since by an accident the arm was broken and thereby the nerves were stretched and then cut over on a sharp corner on the shoulder, the shoulder there being misconnected by a doctor a few years before. And then, besides of this, it here in Thailand took months to find a doctor for reconnecting the nerves, as in the actual hospital they told me that nerves cannot be reconnected! And as the result of this, and other mistakes in the original hospital, the brain newer relearned more than 1/3 of the length in the nerves down to the hand. And therefore, I have this constant brain believed pain in the right hand. And as I wasn’t born in either England or USA, and without my mother language being English, then during the years where I have been searching after books about pain, didn’t find help for solving my problem, until first some weeks ago when I discovered that instead of searching after books titled pain, I should go searching after books titled fibromyalgia; that is about incomprehensible pains/not clearly detectable reasons. And now a week ago I, as the first book concerning fibromyalgia, then received this one, and must say that I by this book I here got much new knowledge, long missed information, and it looks like I’m now on the right trail. But now I then will have to see if I in the pharmacies can get what is mentioned in the book, as for example the D-ribose 5-gram. Because it’s the problem that here in Thailand we are not allowed in buying even simple vitamin pills from other countries (once Amazon told me this), as for example vitamin K2, even though it doesn’t exist out here, and the doctors don’t know about this one, and the those of the other vitamins and minerals which we also are missing.Again, I am very impressed by the much good content in the book, and have ordered one more of his book. And besides, I also like the way in which he tells that first he searches after help in solving problems by searching after help from nature, as herbs, before going after drugs. Besides he also writes that too often syndromes are treated by surgery. Just as spoken out of my throat.

I really enjoyed this book and even though I am a nurse, I think it's easy for non-medical people to read. He did say this was more of an overview of the topics and said his initial book is more detailed. I will read that and revise my review if needed. I'm unlucky enough to have fibromyalgia, CFS, Essential Tremors, asthma, had brain surgery at 19 for Arnold-Chiari malformation, a small temporal meningitis and most recently Mast Cell Activation Syndrome/Disorder. Because of the MCAS I have allergic reactions to MANY foods/meds/supplements so a more in-depth analysis of the supplements would really help. Gentle hugs to all!

I had the earlier version of From Fatigued to Fantastic years ago. Wasn't ready to do any of the suggestions, I guess I wasn't sick enough. Then was talking with a friend who had major health problems and got much better. She didn't get better by seeing docs and getting on prescriptions but got better in part using the suggestions written by Dr Teitelbaum. One day when I was looking on Amazon for books on how to combat fatigue I came across his books and so thought I'd give one of them another try. I read about Dr Teitelbaum's protocol for helping fight fatigue and saw it was written about in this book so went with it. I can honestly say that the heavy fatigue and brain fog I've been experiencing is now more under control. (not healed but helped) Fatigue and brain fog have been my worse enemies so this is no light thing. I started using the D-Ribose by Shine and the CoQ10 first. I am not taking the b vitamins regularly as yet. I also found an electrolyte drink that is helping immensely...the NUNN ENERGY tablets that you add to your water bottle. (I also add Xylitol to make it taste even better) The other day gave a bottle of this to my husband and he asked later, "What was that in the bottle you gave me!!!!" He said it helped him get through working outside on a hot day. The book has ideas of things you can do to help plus lots of informational tidbits on things that cause fatigue and what have you.I recommend this book.

I found this book to be the most informative and comprehensive of the few I've read about treating fibromyalgia so far. I think it's a little bit outdated, but I don't think there are any better books out there at this point. I wish I'd found this a year ago, when I first started developing symptoms. I'm currently doing a methylation support protocol with my holistic practitioner so I haven't tried all of the options recommended here, but my doctor has tried to address a number of things discussed in the book, like low thyroid and adrenal dysfunction--and now methylation. I've also read a lot about treatments for CFS and fibro online; this book seems to encapsulate most of what's out there.

This is absolutely, a must have book for anyone who loves bread (like me), but really wants to avoid gluten!!! First of all it has been thoroughly researched and carefully written. It breaks down all the ingredients, what they are and how they affect the bread and baking process. It is much more than just a recipe book. Each recipe is really really easy to follow. Having completed 12 of the recipe's so far, my goal is to complete all 175 in the next few months!! Unlike most recipe books, the excellent writing is also, easy on the eyes, makes for kind of a fun read. I purchased two, one to give as a gift, the other has found a prime spot in my recipe book library. BW

I'm really torn about this book. I'm a long time baker of gluten free bread. When I first started 10yrs ago it was more or less a trial and error situation with very little reliable help. Over time I have bought every kind of gluten free flour available and combined them for baking mixes. Now there are a lot of different brands who make have ready mixed. I still prefer my own mixes and make all sorts of great baked goods, but a satisfactory yeast raised loaf escaped me. Also I'm older and am becoming more unable to stand and deal with the long periods of time it takes to make a loaf. And then I discovered there are now bread making machines that make nice shaped loaves and have a gluten free setting.I purchased a Hamiton Beach machine from Amazon and am thrilled with it. I've made a number of loaves from the book that came with the machine, preferring the whole grain version, and wanted to branch out a little for more variations. That is when I discovered this book and purchased the digital version. The first part of the book is very informative and puts in writing all the many things I have told people over the years about gluten free baking and products ( things I had learned the hard way, from trial and many errors). My machine has the 2 kneading periods the book talks about, but that's why I got a machine, so I could put it in and forget it, so I decided that when I tried the 1st recipe from the new book that I would use the reuglar gf setting. I've been happy with that setting so far and figured if the book recipe turned out really special that I would later try the knead/bake technique suggested in the book to compare.I already have all the flours for the basic mixes and use a tare weight scale to measure ingredients, so you see, I'm no novice at this. All the time in the back of my mind was this nagging question about the 2 tablespoons of yeast called for in most of the recipes. That is about 3 times the amount used in the recipe I was already happy with. Would my bread blow up in the machine? Would the slices have huge holes like those horrible expensive bought loves that let your sandwich ingredients drip on you? I read all the other reviews concerning the yeast. Several of them were hesitant to try it and at least one said it tastedbad. That one was correct. HOWEVER, the texture is WONDERFUL..Now as I sit here eating a slice of buttered, bad tasting, beautiful, almost textured like normal bread, I'm wondering if I used some really strong tasting sandwich ingredients if that would cover the strong taste. It's a dilemma.

Just a year ago I started making challah for my congregation. Soon I learned of the large percentage of folks who are gluten intolerant. So I set out to make a gluten free challah. Then making it more nutritionly dense became my goal. The lavish appreciation has fueled my constant quest for a better bread. The day it arrived I mixed up the challah recipe using the whole grain flour blend. I did substitute 1/2 cup of the blend for 1/2 cup of gluten free sprouted oat flour. I mixed it in my Kitchen Aid my old bread maker has no gf setting. I grease my silicone challah mold with a brush and coconut oil.I warmed the oven and let it rise there. It rose fast, and baked to 207 degrees within half an hour. (I set a timer for 15 minutes when I turn it for more even baking. At the second bell, the thermometer showed that if was done!I might add an egg yolk, and/or mix a different flour in next time, there is a.good section about the many different options available. I happen to have them all. I even had brown sweet rice flour., surely a secret to the success, and yet another plus nutritionly. While I will make 5 or 6 challaote each month, other recipes may be enjoyed by my grandson who is also allergic to eggs. This book compiles so much practical information about how to make successful gluten free bread that if you are wishing to embark on make it yourself you will be successful quickly.

I have only made one thing so far from this book - the bagels. For that recipe alone it was worth buying the book. My husband is the one on the gluten-free diet and absolutely loves them! It is something he has really missed, and the commercial ones we've tried have missed the mark. These are chewy with a great flavor. I am looking forward to trying other recipes!

I have bought several gluten free cookbooks and by far this is my favorite. I have tried several of the recipes and they all have turned out great. They even give tips on how to use a bread machine that does not have a gluten free setting.

Finally! The bread machine cookbook I have been waiting for is here! Packed with lots of great information on ingredients and tons of recipes this is a must-have for anyone who is gluten-free and has a bread machine. I made the Oat Bread and the Cinnamon Loaf (with raisins) this weekend - both were amazing. Can't wait to test the pizza dough later this week!
