I Am Committed to Singleness as a Gift from God. We can all remember occasions when we had our heard set on receive a particular gift, only to be disappointed by the giver's selection. Perhaps he didn't know us well enough to choose something appropriate. Or maybe she just didn't have time to select a more meaningful gift. Thankfully, however, most gifts are not disappointing. Generally, we think of a "gift" as something desirable. We like to know that someone has been thinking about us, and we look forward to receiving gifts that friends have picked out for us. What is the appropriate response when someone gives us a gift? First, we receive the gift; then we thank the giver and proceed to use the gift for its intended purpose. In all the universe, there is no greater Giver than God Himself. He loves to give good gifts to His children! As with human givers, when God gives us a gift, He is pleased when we receive it, that Him for it, and use it for its intended purpose.

If you have been widowed after a long period of time married, this book will be helpful.
Price was a lil high for such a small book,looks more like a flyer; but info in book is good.
I hesitated before buying this book because I thought it would be more of the same trite, run-of-the-mill stuff I already knew. Not really expecting much, I finished it in one night. It affected me so much more than all the other books I'd read on grief and being alone, and it brought me a sense of contentment I hadn't had since my loss. It might not be a book to which all singles could or choose to relate, but it filled the need I have of wanting a better relationship with God first and foremost. The fact that the book is short and to-the-point does not mean it's lightweight. The author wrote from her heart without any padding or fluff. Very straightforward. It helped me deal with the void I felt, the aloneness, and took my walk with the Lord to another level in this new single life. I now embrace my singleness and discovered singleness is not bad. Not bad at all.
I purchased it for my single granddaughter. I read it first and it is well written with excitement being single and having purpose,knowing this is what God has for me now. I have not heard back from my granddaughter what she thinks, but it should be areal source of encouragement.
I love it for the ministry. Its backed by scripture, this lady is truly anointed. I even bought ten more copies.
I loved what Nancy had to say and I immediately made some changes in my life. I even taught on this book at a bible study b/c I felt that it was full of wisdom that Christian singles desperately need. It truly was an answer to my prayer on how to better equip singles to make their singleness more effective and to make Godly decisions in everything we do.
Awesome book for singles (and everyone really)! Changed my life. :-)
